On March 12, 2021, RISD students and faculty from the Department of Interior Architecture conducted an interview with Jeffrey Fletcher (a collector) and Jibreel Khazan (a civil rights activist), both of whom experienced Jim Crow laws firsthand, but 53 years apart.
This video documents the conversation with Jeffrey and Jibreel to learn from their experiences of Jim Crow in the '60s – as well as the contemporary Jim Crow that lingers in American life today.
